The design of the interior of the Aura differed from that of the Ion, which was highly criticized. The interior of the Aura also marked a new interior direction for Saturn, moving to a more European-style interior. 2007 SATURN AURA P0455 CODE
I have cleared the code and hopefully it does not return but if it does I am afraid I will have to send it to the dealer for diagnostics since it seams quite complicated to find the leak.The Saturn Aura is a four-door, five-passenger front engine/front-wheel drive mid-sized sedan manufactured and marketed by GM's Saturn subsidiary over a single generation from 2006–2009. I checked my gas cap and found nothing out of the ordinary. DTC P0455 sets when a certain vacuum in the fuel tank could not be achieved due to a large leak or a lack of vacuum source.
The ECM will let the pressure drop in the fuel tank for a certain length of time after which it will turn OFF the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. The ECM will then command the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve ON which is a closed valve, and command the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to a fixed duty cycle. During the DTC P0455 diagnostic, the ECM monitors the FTP sensor for an atmospheric pressure reading when all of the DTC parameters have been met with the engine running. The ECM also monitors the EVAP system for small and large leaks. The ECM monitors the EVAP system for circuit faults in the FTP sensor, the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve and the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve circuits. The EVAP system consists of the EVAP canister, the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor, the EVAP lines and hoses, the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve which is normally closed, the EVAP service port, the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve which is normally open, the fuel tank, and the engine control module (ECM). Reduce the amount of unburned fuel from escaping into the atmosphere. The Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System is used to store fuel vapors to I've attached a schematic of the EVAP system, as well as a brief description which was lifted from the Vue service manual. A common cause for this code might be a loose or failing gas cap. P0455 is the infamous EVAP system large pressure loss diagnostic code. Got this code.can someone advise on where to troubleshoot.
